Lt. LeRonne Armstrong was born and raised in Oakland, Ca. He began his career in law enforcement 19 years ago with the Alameda County Probation Department. After spending 4 years in the probation department, in 1999 he decided to join the Oakland Police Department as a police officer. Over his 15 year career he’s worked several assignments, starting as a Patrol officer, School Resource Officer, Problem Solving Officer Unit, Criminal Investigations, Patrol Supervisor, Gang Intelligence Task Force Supervisor, Patrol Watch Commander, and he’s currently assigned as Commander of the Youth and School Safety Section.
David Muhammad is a leader in the fields of criminal justice, violence prevention, and youth development. As the former Chief Probation Officer of the Alameda County Probation Department, David was responsible for managing 20,000 people on probation, a staff of 600, and a $90 million budget. David ushered in enormous reform in Alameda County, transitioning probation away from a deficit-based correctional model into a strengths-based Positive Youth Development model. David formerly served as the Deputy Commissioner of New York City’s Department of Probation, and was responsible for overseeing 35,000 people on probation and a staff of 800.
