Daily Wisdom::Impatience can easily lead to unhappiness because the focus is on what we do not have. Instead, let’s appreciate what we do have, continue to work for what we want, and believe that we will eventually get what we desire or possibly something even better. That’s practicing patience.

Frankie the Walk and Roll Dog is a true, inspirational story about a dachshund whose life started out just like any other dog walking on all four paws until a spinal injury leaves her paralyzed. Frankie is custom fitted for a wheelchair and learns to keep on rolling. Her zest for life will have you cheering and she will give you hope that all things are possible. Frankie will leave an everlasting and loving paw print on your heart. A book for all ages to teach overcoming challenges and also compassion for the physically challenged.

This book has the ability and charm to appeal to many people and I was surprised by how much this wonderful story touched me. We feel this story will reach out and touch the heart of many people - in particular: parents, grandparents, pet owners, people with disabilities, people with loved ones with disabilities, teachers, and many more.

Nikki Leigh Talks About Vietnam Air Rescue Details

On the 18th, I interviewed Dave Richardson, author of Vietnam Air Rescues. The book is about his experiences as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. On the 25th, Dave will return and we will also talk with Kenny Fields. They met during a very difficult rescue and they will share the details with me. Callers will also have the chance to ask questions. Join us for this special call.

Nikki Leigh Talks with Dave Richardson

Dave Richardson wanted to share his helicopter rescue experiences in Vietnam with his children. Over time, he got a bit of public interest in the book and after several revisions, it is now available in print for the public to read about his Vietnam Air Rescues. We will talk about his book and his background in detail. His website is www.vietnam-air-rescues.com and on 8-25-08 listen as I speak with Dave and one of the men that he rescued.

  • Date / Time:

    Additional Information About Dave Richardson

On Monday August 18th, I'm interviewing Dave Richardson to talk about his book, Vietnam Air Rescues. On Monday, August 25, I'm interviewing Dave Richardson (the helicopter pilot) and Kenny Fields (the last man he rescued). Both shows will be great and we encourage people to be there with us live.

Before the shows, you should download a sampler that I put together for Dave. The sampler gives you excerpts from the book and it includes Dave's complete first rescue. You might want to have the sampler while you listen to both these interviews because it has a couple of maps that will help you see what's happening.

The sampler can be downloaded at www.nikkileigh.com/var.htm

In addition, we will talk about Dave's life and what he saw in Vietnam. For much more information about the setting for this book - visit http://itsallinthesetting.blogspot.com/. Dave will be visiting this blog on his virtual book tour on Wednesday August 20th, but I posted the information early for the people who join the radio interview.

So much great information to share and the book is very good. If you would like to

Eavesdrop—as a father recounts to his adult children his exploits as an Air Force “Jolly Green” combat helicopter rescue pilot in Vietnam…
Be There—to see what it was really like…
Ride Along—and determine what you would have done when another man’s life was literally hanging in the balance…
    Feel—what it meant to save a life…
