I'm on a quest for the perfect "Broadcast Beverage"... Here is this week's entry - try and let me know what you think? :) ****************************************************
Mulled Cranberry Tea
2 tea bags
1 cup boiling water
1 bottle (48 oz of cranberry juice)
½ cup dried cranberries (optional)
1/3 cup Splenda
1 large lemon, cut into ¼-inch slices
4 cinnamon sticks
6 whole cloves
(lemon slices and cinnamon sticks are optional)
In large pot (can be done in crock pot); place tea bags in boiling water. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes.
Remove and discard tea bags.
Stir in cranberry juice, cranberries (if desired), Splenda (or sugar), lemon slices, cinnamon sticks and cloves.
Cover and bring to gentle simmer for 15 minutes…the reduce to low.
** If preparing in CrockPot: Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours or on high for 1 to 2 hours.
To serve, remove lemon slices, cinnamon sticks and cloves. Serve in warm mugs with additional (fresh) lemon slices and cinnamon sticks if desired.
Makes 8 servings. Is a great holiday party beverage.
