    Date / Time:

Hello, my name is Beth and I'm a Messie

I grew up in a home that was disorganized and cluttered, okay, and at times downright messy. When I first moved out, hard as I tried I could not keep my home in order. Over the years I tried many different strategies to organize my home, my kitchen, my junk drawer, my car...only to fail...UGH! I decided that, like other genetic predispositions, that I must be genetically predisposed to messiness.

In my late twenties I met a woman who made keeping her home organized - not PERFECT - look 'easy.' I decided I would try to learn from her...lo, and behold, I am now a reformed messy of many years.

As a military wife, who has moved seven times in five years, served as an ombudsman for four years, runs her own business and has a life...I need my life to be organized! Two people have had the greatest impact on my life in helping me to see that my old mantra, "I'm too busy to be organized' was faulty thinking. The reality is, "I'm too busy NOT to be organized."

This week's show brings an old friend and mentor in the area of organization - Sue McMillin. Sue is a professional organizer, she was a ground breaker in this field and has organized everything from multi-million dollar homes, to a kitchen pantry, to offices of corporate execs and even entire businesses. Sue brings humor and great insight in helping us understand the five easy steps to bringing order to our world.

Oh, by the way - she says we CAN organize our messy kids and that messy hubby, too! Don't miss this fun discussion that will set you free!
