Join us this week as we welcome Country music singer songwriter, Makayla Lynn. Hailing from Nova Scotia, Canada, Makayla is a fresh face in the industry with the vocals, songwriting ability and stage presence that many call unprecedented for her age. Representing Nova Scotia in the 2016 CCMA Spotlight contest, the ECMA, Music NS and IMEA nominated artist boasts over 1 million video views from over 50,000 social media fans with the numbers climbing rapidly. Makayla has penned hundreds of songs and released a debut Nashville recorded and produced album “Daydream” that saw 2 singles released across Canada with great success. With her follow up second album "On A Dare And A Prayer" releasing in March 2017, Makayla will not only show her songwriting ability with 11 originals on the album, but will also prove herself behind the scenes as a co-producer. A Taylor Guitars partnered artist, Makayla is no stranger to the stage, performing for the past 7 years all around the Maritimes, Ontario and in Nashville as an acoustic solo/duo/trio and fronting her own band since the incredibly young age of 12. She has shared the stage and opened for some of country music's biggest names and is a regular in front of crowds as large as 30,000 in some of the most iconic venues. Summer 2017 will find Makayla once again performing weekly at festivals and venues throughout the Maritimes. We will talk to Makayla about her upcoming schedule, get a behind the scenes look at her music, feature her latest songs, and ask her to share her message for the troops. Please be sure to visit Makayla Lynn at http://www.makaylalynn.com/ and spread the word. Fans are welcome to call in and speak live with Makayla during the show (718) 766-4193. And as always we will give shout outs to our deployed military listeners. Our message to the troops: WE do what we do, because YOU do what you do.
