Join us this week as we welcome the award winning Pop/Rock singer songwriter, Lara Johnston. Lara's powerful voice and dynamic stage presence have captivated music audiences around the world. She has shared the bill or performed with Willie Nelson, Journey, K.I.S.S., Heart, Sammy Hagar, Bonnie Raitt, Huey Lewis and the News, Steve Miller, Don Henley, and many others. This past year Ms. Johnston made two TV appearances, singing with America's Got Talent winner Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. on The Wendy Williams Show and the Piers Morgan Tonight Christmas Special on CNN. 2012 saw Lara participating in a benefit concert alongside country superstar Luke Bryan, and Timothy B. Schmit of the Eagles, performing throughout the US, and recording new original music. In September of 2012, Lara was selected from over 7,500 competitors as the first Grand Prize Winner of the Unsigned Only Competition for her song, K.I.S.S. While pursuing her career as an artist, writing and co-writing songs with partners in LA, London, and Nashville, Lara has also studied her craft at USC’s Thornton School of Music, where she is currently a senior. Her debut album release is fast approaching. Until then, you can hear her music online. We will talk to Lara about her upcoming schedule, get a behind the scenes look at her music, feature her latest songs, and ask her to share her message for the troops. Please be sure to visit Lara Johnston at http://www.larajohnston.com/ and spread the word. Fans are welcome to call in and chat live with Lara during the show.
