Ato Boldon is a former world champion and four-time Olympic medalist in the 100m and 200m sprints, and an Emmy-nominated track and field broadcaster. He served as the Track and Field analyst for NBC during the 2012 London Olympic Games, having made his Olympic broadcasting debut during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Boldon is the first U.S. Track and Field broadcaster ever to be nominated for an Emmy award. Boldon was born in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and moved to the United States at the age of 14. In 1989, his sprinting abilities were discovered while playing soccer for Jamaica High School in Queens, New York. He transferred to Piedmont Hills High School in San Jose, California, for his senior year, where he continued to play soccer and sprint, placing third in the 200m at the CIF California State High School Championships in 1991. That summer, he won the USA Junior Olympic Title in the 200m in Durham, NC. In 1992, at 18, Boldon represented Trinidad and Tobago at 100m and 200m in the Barcelona Olympic Games. That same year, he won the 100m and 200m titles at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Athletics in Seoul, South Korea, becoming the first double sprint champion in World Junior Championships history. Now Boldon helps prepare NFL prospects at S3 Sports Academy for NFL Combine and Pro Day workouts. Listen in live or download podcast with Olympic superstar Ato Boldon.
