Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Brookshire / Pattison, TX speaks about hope, the expectation of hope and the God of hope. God wants us to have an abundance of hope. Expectation is the breeding ground of Miracles. Even when circumstances look hopeless, the God of Hope will fill you with a confident expectation of good. God wants you to believe in this confident expectation.

God wants to cause hope to be rooted in our life. Romans 5:1-4 says, "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have[a] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us."

Perseverance will produce character, it will produce integrity. Other people will see the change in your life and that change, which God provides, will produce hope. This will not just be a work in your life, but you will begin to have a confident expectation for others also. You will begin to look for the treasure in yourself and others. In Isiah 61:3 God says, "I will give you beauty for ashes." The things in your life that have been ashes and ruins, God says, "I will give you beauty."
