Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Brookshire / Pattison, TX shares today beginning in 2 Samuel 12 starting in verse 15 about a reversal that occured in David's life. In a reversal, it is very important to be able to perceive and hear the Lord. In verse 19, when David realized the child was dead, and what he had been praying for didn't happen, David still was able to get up. Isaiah 60:1 says, "Arise, shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you." In a reversal, in what looks like a loss, God is going to teach you a new way of life. Psalm 37:23 says, "The steps of a Good man are directed and ordered by the Lord." The first thing David did was get up.
The next thing David did was he washed. You have to allow the love and presence of God to wash you. The love of God is always available to you.
The third thing David did was that he annointed himself. That is David reminded himself of the promisses of God. If you feel like things are not working in your life, if you love God, you can ask God to come into your life and then you will be annointed. David, in the midst of his reversal he didn't look to other people, he annointed himself. He came into agreement with God.
The next thing David did was he changed his clothes. He took off the mourning clothes and put on the rejoicing clothes. After he changed his clothes he went into the house of the Lord and worship. That is your relationship with the loving God. Tell Him you love and worship Him. Run to God in your season of reversal.
