"Many cities honored the memory of their fallen leader by designating the site of the riots as Martin Luther King Boulevard, Avenue or Street. But, as time would prove, that which should have died--did not. To date, forty-five years have passed since the death of the King, and most of the thoroughfares that bear his name sit as deplorable reminders of the slain giant."

Author Etta Harbin discusses these themes in her new book as well as the decline of African-American marriage and love.

Tasha Phipps is Miss Love 101, teacher, counselor and life coach extraordinaire. She and her sidekick Andre Harrison, author of From a Fatherless Father to his Sons, dole out Passion Tips of the Week and their frankest advice for lovesick twentysomethings. Need some love advice?
