More than a year ago, as the erotic novel 50 Shades of Grey became a cultural phenomenon author Bette Nordberg began to think, "How does culture shape a believer's sense of right and wrong?" That question led to others: "Does God even care about married sex? And, as the world abandons traditional marriage, "is a lifetime of married pleasure even possible?"

Generally, the church emphasizes purity before marriage; however the married sexual relationship is largely ignored. In her book Pure Sex. Great Sex., Nordberg wants hers her readers to examine some of her own reasons for taking the study, her satisfaction in her sexuality, and her hopes for growth.
