Sidney D. Crosier: Hoosier Art Pioneer

  Broadcast in Art

Call in to speak with the host

Corydon artist Sid Crosier (1858-1930) exhibited with great Impressionists of his day and even had the opportunity to study in Europe, but he remained in Indiana to care for his infirm mother. After her long illness and death Crosier battled alcoholism and financial difficulties, but in spite of these woes he always found a way to continue painting with whatever materials he could find.
