Description: h:8756 s:358515	I went to someones house for shabbos lunch and they didn't sing zemirot.This is really not good. We seem to rush through everything these days and I am guilty of it as well but one thing I used to do with my family is sing after meals and have started to do it again. From a Psychological stand point, I wrote articles and quoted researchers about the many benefits of singing consistently (and the sabbath gives us this opportunity of once a week, consistency)in our lifes. Menucha v'shimcha describes the rewards for those who properly observe the shabbos and interestingly enough the first letters of the first three stanzas, form the composer's name, moshe. expand

menucha=rest, you are supposed to rest on shabbat, take a nap etc. what a onderful way to rejuvenate for the week to come!
