Monday morning, Former Navy Reservist Aaron Alexis shot and killed 12 people, and injured others.  He was later killed in a gun battle with police.   Investigators are still trying to determine why he did this, and how he was able to obtain clearance and access to the yard.  His parents say that he suffered PTSD after participating in rescue efforts after the 9/11 attacks.  Reports are that he had sought out help from the VA, possibly for his mental health conditions.  Aaron had past run ins with the law, concerning possession and use of weapons.  Despite all this, those who knew him say that he was generally a nice guy.  In fact he mediated regularly using Bhudist principles.  How did this all come to be?
