"We just hit the community one-on-one, hang out on the block with them, talk with them," she says. Greenlee's 29-year-old son, Roderiquez, was standing on a street corner in 2003 when a rival gang member shot him in the neck, killing him instantly. "That fast lifestyle won him over just like it won me over," Greenlee says. "I didn't show him (another) choice."  She knows what it's like to have blood on her hands. She's tasted drugs. She's trolled for johns. She's slept in abandoned houses. That life ended a decade ago.
