We are very pleased and extremely honoured to have Atlanta Hawks play-by-play colour commentator, Bob Rathbun, join us on this week's edition of NBA Live Talk. Coming off an impressive campaign that saw them push the Indiana Pacers to seven games in the opening round of the playoffs, the Hawks are looking to take the next step and emerge as perennial championship contenders. Mike Budenholzer is set to enter his second season as the bench boss in Atlanta and his aggressive mindset has translated into success on the hardwood. The Hawks possess two of the NBA's premier big men in Paul Millsap and Al Horford. Jeff Teague has asserted himself as one of the league's elite point guards while Kyle Korver continues to tickle the twine from beyond the arc on a nightly basis.

The 2014-15 NBA schedule has been released! The Hawks will begin their season in Toronto against the defending Atlantic Division champion Toronto Raptors. As for the reigning NBA champion San Antonio Spurs, they will begin their pursuit of back-to-back championships on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 against cross-state rivals, the Dallas Mavericks. Kobe Bryant makes his highly anticipated return to the hardwood later that night as the Lakers host James Harden and the Houston Rockets.

The following evening, Wednesday, October 29, Derrick Rose makes his return to the Chicago Bulls as they take on Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks will then hop on a plane and travel to Cleveland where they will be greeted by LeBron James and his new-look Cavaliers in a nationally televised Eastern Conference showdown.

Join the boys from NBA Live Talk every Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. EST on Blog Talk Radio!
