Jesus and Revolution: The Struggle Against Empire Part: 2

We will study the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth and compare other revolutionaries tactics to Jesus Christ's, the peasant prophet from Nazareth. We will investigate the attitude of the people of Jesus' day; we will see that they longed for a political leader to guide them out of oppression. The Israelites were not looking for a religious man to bring them some new superstition, they longed for a radical change, they wanted the Kingdom or Government of God to rule the earth, to set the captives free. We will investigate  Jesus in his true context, a revolutionary and we will review his teachings on what is to be done in this revolutionary struggle against the empires.
