Do your comments mean that those of us who are single parents and have no positive male role models (the C's you mentioned) for our sons are doomed? I have sought resources, mentors, including Big Brothers (he has been on the waiting list for 5 years!) and nothing has materialized...he is 12 now. His concerns need a male perspective. How do I address them in a way that empowers both of us?
