September, 2018, has been declared “National Preparedness Month” by the President.
Quoting from the report at the White House website, “National Preparedness Month is a time to focus our attention on the importance of preparing our families, homes, businesses, and communities for disasters that threaten our lives, property, and homeland.”
An immediate devastating impact could be generated by an intentional pandemic, an economic collapse, an EMP or CME that shuts down the power grid, atmospheric or environmental catastrophe, and social chaos and the restrictions that may follow.
Most important to understand is that there is the real possibility of a power shut-down by EMP, cyber attack, or earth change events such as a CME or a super storm like the massive hurricanes in recent years. Similarly, a serious pandemic, an economic collapse, meteorites or asteroid hitting the planet, earthquakes, volcanoes and tidal waves -- there are many possibilities for society changing disaster.
If we are to survive, with these crises, it is essential to form a shared cooperative project with neighbors and friends in a strategic geographic sector to prepare and support each other. Preparedness is the issue of our time. Food storage, pure water and safe shelter are critically important.
