The masters of holistic natural health wisdom include the natural hygienists of the 1800’s, the “New Thought” movement of the late 19th Century on, and the 20th Century natural health food pioneers. Here is my summary of the teachings of all these pioneers:
“Distress of the organism”, is the root of disease. The branches of distress are tension, toxicity and malnutrition. These unhealthy conditions may take the forms of heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, immune system challenges, cancer, infection, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, etc.
Preventing disease and inflammation is a process of relaxing distress: avoiding toxins and detoxifying, pursuing life-supporting nutrition and relaxing and calming stress.
Natural foods, antioxidants, enzymes and minerals from super foods and herbs, as well as pure water, build health. Routine exercise and periodic detoxification are also essential aspects of good health.
