If the nature of one’s daily work allows friendly interaction with other people, it is usually more enjoyable and desirable. Good work that actually serves the needs of people face to face is most often rewarding.

However, the conventional modality of thinking is oppositional. It has been programmed into society. Opposition generates competition. This is considered motivational. It is explained by Darwin’s “survival of the fittest” theory.

This approach to life justifies the expansion of ego beyond the organization of one’s own life to a self-serving mode of working in the world. Oppositional thinking serves the divide and rule strategy of those in power, as it distracts and preoccupies people with pursuing their own interests.

Another understanding perceives both the uniqueness and the bond of all people as distinct yet interconnected nodes of creative consciousness. “Unity in diversity”.. With this perspective, love, respect and cooperation are cultivated, and people think more about making things better for everyone.

The more appealing work includes the choice of exercising one’s creativity. Imaginative thought is the beginning of creation, followed by planning, organizing and action to manifest the project.

A monumental creative project is to transform the world for the better. We can engage this creative process to tackle the many problems, public poisons, for example.

What is needed is a movement in consciousness from being dominated by those operating with oppositional thinking and promoting it, to realization that caring cooperation, natural health and holistic healing are the expressions of greater wisdom, which are naturally part of good work.
