It is wise to be prepared for a time of economic disruption and shortages of supplies, and especially a power outage.

Drought, storms, earthquakes, volcanic activity, economic collapse, loss of electric power, food shortage, water scarcity, geoengineering, mind manipulation, the degeneration of society, threats of war, -- recognizing these challenges underscores the importance of preparedness for surviving emergency conditions.

The possibility of the commercial system shutting down means that food storage, a pure water supply, a good plan and a cooperative support system are essential to survival in a time of major changes.

Most mass media hypnotized urban dwellers know very little about survival skills. There are basics of natural health and survival that even children should know, such as identifying edible plants that may be growing in your yard.

Now is the time to purchase large quantities of crop items from local farmers such as fruits, squash, beans, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, etc. We can learn to dehydrate, can, ferment and store as much food as possible, while not depending too much on a freezer, which must have electricity to operate.

Obtain substantial quantities of seed foods, such as sunflower, flax, sesame and hemp seeds, nuts, rice, buckwheat, millet and beans. Store them in well sealed foil bags or food grade plastic buckets in a cool dry place.

Now is the time to be growing food plants indoors, such as sprouts, lettuce, cabbage, kale, carrots and tomatoes.

Other essentials of preparedness include seeds and tools for gardening, fuel and means for off grid heat and energy, and tools and materials to build and repair one’s shelter and grow food. Arrange planning meetings with neighbors and nearby friends about helping each other in difficult circumstances.
