Family

I have a big family, with nine of us on the roll call. My husband, my six sons and one daughter make up our family unit. There is never a boring day or moment in my home. You could probably imagine. Even though there are a lot of people and we are all doing different things, there’s one thing throughout the day that is the same… we love each other and God so much. We are very close. 

All 7 children have such a different personality, different aspirations, but they all receive the same instruction at home. We teach the expectations we have for them in their daily lives. They all have chores, they have rules, they have curfews, and they get their daily instruction of Christian parenting from Vance and Me. That is what makes it so easy to run such a big household. God ordained us as a family, so when we living according to his Word, we can see the benefits so clearly. It may look effortlessly to some, but there is a lot of hard work and prayer involved.

Psalms 127:3-5 Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
