HAPPY INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY!

Do you really want to know the truth of why there is a push to suppress voting rights for people of color? Besides the racist view that they  will overwhelmingly vote Democratic, there is racist undertone.  Anita Talks Genealogy,  explores the implications of voting under, "The New Jim Crow."  A book written by Michelle Alexander. It is a well researched piece of work that presents documented facts about the mass incarceration of Black people within the United States, Prison Industrial Complex.  Today the PIC is building Prisons at an alarming rate. There are actually Stocks for Prisons being traded on Wall Street.  It is not about being good and not going to Prison, because it is now part of a Money making System .

Many of those who are imprisoned work in slave conditions. The pittance they are paid is usually going to pay off court fees. Besides being in prison they have no rights and in many cases their rights are not restored, even after serving a sentence. The majority of those imprisoned are African American Men, with Hispanics not far behind.  Studies show that African American males are sentenced to higher sentences then White Males,  even those who committed worse crimes. Voters Rights have everything to do with who is on the bench, who goes to prison, and how sentences are meted out. The Republicans in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and several other states are well aware of the Power of the Ballot, and have initiatives to suppress the right to vote.

This show will explore the connection between, The New Jim Crow and the push to prevent African Americans from voting.
