Wall Street doesn't like tax hikes or uncertainty. Last year, the Dow dropped 16% when Congress waited until the last minute to raise the debt ceiling. In 1987, tax hikes caused a sell-off that sparked Black Monday -- when the Dow dropped 22% in one day. And who will ever forget the drop to 6547 in March of 2009, after the Lehman Bros. bankruptcy.
