What is happening with today’s youth when they are searching on the computer for “simple ways to make methamphetamine” instead of searching for “how to apply to college”?  There are so many other things to learn about in the world.  I spend a great deal of time in front of the computer reading and searching for things like where to buy the latest shoes or which celebrity is being chased by the most paparazzi. 

It saddens me to think that today’s youth is not searching for ways to have a healthy diet but rather ways to be destructive in life. What does that tell us about our society when we realize that kids would rather be finding out about how to make drugs rather than how to eat properly.

As a former Methamphetamine addict, I hate to see the next generation getting wrapped up in things like this. I know how destructive Meth can be and what it can do to a person.  I wasted 7 years of my life drowned in addiction.  During this time, I was missing out on the world that was still revolving around me.  I was losing out on so much.  Although these are years I will never get back, I’m glad I got the help I needed to cure my addiction. And I now appreciate the small things in life, like the rain and reading a good book.

This is why it is so important and so vital that we educate today’s youth on the dangers of drugs, especially making it.   They should be out playing with their friends and experiencing life in healthy positive ways not internet surfing on ways to cook crack cocaine or methamphetamines.
