Narconon of Georgia

While many drug rehab statistics are nebulous, Narconon boasts a 76% success rate, based on a two year follow-up. A key to our success is the Narconon New Life Detoxification program. Through the use of a sauna, we provide body detoxification that can help eliminate or reduce cravings. Research has shown that, detoxification from drugs or alcohol should be followed by effective treatment to achieve long-term success. We provide that effective treatment. Our non-12 step approach provides life skills necessary to maintain sobriety and lead a successful life. These life skills will help the addict identify and resolve problems through learned techniques, rather than turn to drugs as they have in the past. For more information on how the Narconon program can help you or a loved one, go to www.drugsno.com or www.alternativesentence.com or call 877-413-3073.

    DRUG ADDICTION 101

Do we need any more evidence that effective drug prevention and drug treatment need to be available at higher levels NOW?

12.3 percent of our high school seniors are abusing prescription medication.  Most of these drugs are addictive, so we have some addicts attending school.  While they are sitting in history class, no one is there to tell them what they really need to know to make it at all – how to get off opiates without feeling sick.  Xanax, Oxycontin, Adderall, and Oxycodone – these are all dangerous drugs

Where do they go?  Who can they talk to?

If there are no answers to these questions then our future is in jeopardy.

"A survey of more than 12,000 U.S. high-school seniors found that 12.3 percent said they had used opioid-based prescription drugs for non-medical purposes, with 8 percent saying they had done so within the past year, HealthDay News reported Aug. 3.

Students said they used drugs like hydrocodone, oxycodone, hydromorphone, meperidine, morphine and codeine to relax, relieve tension, get high, experiment, relieve pain, or have a good time with their friends.

Those who used the drugs for reasons other than pain relief were more likely to use other addictive drugs and have signs of addictive disorders, researchers said."
