Narconon of Georgia

While many drug rehab statistics are nebulous, Narconon boasts a 76% success rate, based on a two year follow-up. A key to our success is the Narconon New Life Detoxification program. Through the use of a sauna, we provide body detoxification that can help eliminate or reduce cravings. Research has shown that, detoxification from drugs or alcohol should be followed by effective treatment to achieve long-term success. We provide that effective treatment. Our non-12 step approach provides life skills necessary to maintain sobriety and lead a successful life. These life skills will help the addict identify and resolve problems through learned techniques, rather than turn to drugs as they have in the past. For more information on how the Narconon program can help you or a loved one, go to www.drugsno.com or www.alternativesentence.com or call 877-413-3073.

    WHO TO BELIEVE?

How could an institution like Ladies Home Journal get it so wrong on Paula Abdul?

Her rebuttal is so far away from the reported story that we know that someone isn’t telling the truth. While most of us would prefer to live in a world where, on top of everything else, we don’t have to expect a lie from Ladies Home Journal or Paula Abdul – truth is it really doesn’t matter.

It would not be a big deal if Paula Abdul had suffered from
pain medication addiction.  In this day and age, it is not unusual, nor exciting.  The exciting news would have been that she got over it and lived to tell the world.

Whatever the case, this entire story has absolutely lost any PR value for both parties and the only thing remotely interesting is conjecture about who is really telling the truth.

American Idol judge Paula Abdul has refuted reports she was ever addicted to painkillers - insisting recent comments she made about her drug use have been misconstrued.

The singer-turned-TV star revealed she had a long running battle with
prescription drugs and checked into a California spa in a bid to kick her habit in a new Ladies' Homes Journal magazine interview.

    The article also detailed the
withdrawal symptoms Abdul suffered when she attempted to wean herself off the painkillers, which she started taking after suffering agony following a car accident and plane crash in 1992 and 1993 respectively.

She was quoted as saying, ""I was freezing cold, then sweating hot, then chattering and in so much pain. It was excruciating. But, at my very core, I did not like existing the way I had been. I could have killed myself."

But Abdul has now spoken out to clarify her comments - and she is adamant she has never struggled with
    drug addiction, as reported.

She says, "It was very stressful for me to hear that and to be quoted saying something I never said. I've never checked into a
rehab clinic. I've never been addicted (to) or abused drugs, and I've never been addicted (to) or abused alcohol. I've never even been drunk in my life."

And she insists she never told the magazine she checked into a spa for a rehab stint. “It’s a spa. I was there for almost three days having fun, doing spa stuff.  It’s not a clinic.  It’s not a
detox place.  It’s a luxurious spa.  It’s like taking a mini vacation.

I just wanted to chill out and get massages and maybe a manicure and pedicure.”
