While many drug rehab statistics are nebulous, Narconon boasts a 76% success rate, based on a two year follow-up. A key to our success is the Narconon New Life Detoxification program. Through the use of a sauna, we provide body detoxification that can help eliminate or reduce cravings. Research has shown that, detoxification from drugs or alcohol should be followed by effective treatment to achieve long-term success. We provide that effective treatment. Our non-12 step approach provides life skills necessary to maintain sobriety and lead a successful life. These life skills will help the addict identify and resolve problems through learned techniques, rather than turn to drugs as they have in the past. For more information on how the Narconon program can help you or a loved one, go to www.drugsno.com or www.alternativesentence.com or call 877-413-3073.

This study seems to point out that if people drink too much they will fall down. Man has known this since the beginning of time but what hasn’t been known is how to help those who insist on drinking so much that they hurt themselves. Problems are easy to study and write about – solutions seem few and far between. However, the real fact is that there are solutions for the alcoholic. While they are not usually touted on the public airways or communication lines they are there. Effective drug and alcohol treatment does work. Here is the study: “Research Summary and Comments The public-health impact of falls at home is substantial, resulting in a number of emergency department visits, hospitalizations, and deaths among working-aged individuals. Investigators conducted a population-based case-control study to investigate the role of acute alcohol use* in falls at home among individuals aged 25 to 60. Individuals who were admitted to a hospital or died as a result of a fall injury at home (n=335) were compared with controls (n=352) randomly selected from the same geographic region in New Zealand. Analyses were adjusted for various factors likely to explain falls, including hazardous alcohol use (Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test score ≥8). A significant association was seen between acute alcohol consumption and risk of fall injury in the next 6 hours: Individuals who consumed 2 drinks were 3.7 times more likely to have a fall injury compared with individuals who did not drink. Individuals who consumed 3 or more drinks were 12.9 times more likely to have a fall injury compared with individuals who did not drink. Assuming a causal relationship, 20% of all fall injuries in the study population were attributable to acute alcohol consumption. “ http://www.jointogether.org/news/research/tprb/feb09/bower-alcohol-contributes.html Narconon 877-413-3073Alternative to addiction video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqRnbEZxWnw
