    Dissenting opinions and Olympic Glory

I missed last nights show because My beautiful Daughter in Law and soon to be MOM, was worried something wasn't quite right with her pregnancy so we went to the ER.  Family always comes first.  Fortunately all is well...just one off those prego things.  With just 4 weeks to go, I am anxious to have baby Joey come into our family.

THe start of the Olympics are only a few days away and where so much of Olympic tradiition is familiar and the same, this year with the big event happening in CHina - there is a bit of trepidation and unknown as athletes start arriving and visitors wonder what to pack in their suitcases... I love sports , most sports.  I am not a fan of PRO sports anymore...and frankly have no desire to see a bunch of zillionaire pro basketball players "play for gold" .  hardly spectacular.  But I love track & field, gymnastics, swimming and beach volleyball.

For me, so many sports stories have great messages of hope, overcoming all odds, commitment and dreams come true... that I look forward to the Olympics stories that inspire behind the winners podium.    Where do you find the heart and soul of the Olympics?  Look to the losers.
