Known as the Gateway to the Grand Canyon, Williams, AZ, is tucked away in northern Arizona on Route 66. As the last town to be bypassed by the East/West Interstate Highway 40, Williams has managed to maintain their small town flavor while offering a memorable travel option. Most notably in this holiday season is The Polar Express, based on the animated movie of the same name. With overnight packages that include the train ride, complete with Santa Claus handing out treats for the kids, dinner, a stay at one of their fine hotels, breakfast and a magnificent view of the Grand Canyon. Spend an hour with me as I talk with Susan Atkinson, the Main Street and Events Coordinator with the Williams Chamber of Commerce. It's an hour you won't regret! Any time of year is a great time to visit Williams, AZ
