She has two other children, Rick & Myra & is also a grandmother to Tatiana & Nancy. (They are old enough to remember Gina). Through the last five years, Nancy has gone through the absolute worst thing that could happen to a mother! Through, her tragedy, she has become not only an advocate for her child but for other missing children & adults in Cleveland. Her and Tara, made promise to Amanda Berry, mother, who was Cherokee before she passed away, that they would make a difference for missing children & keep Amanda's story out there with Gina's. The, two have worked together as a team in many ways in the last few years, getting the girls faces & cases there; A first EVER: The National Basketball Association NBA, David Stern approved that Amanda & Gina's faces appear during the 2007 NBA Finals in Cleveland on ABC/ESPN, where the broadcaster talked about that someone knows what happened to the girls. Appearing in 83 countries. And there were press releases & pictures of the teens given to the media in the after game press conference, when Lebron James, Cleveland Cavs star was interviewed. This was a first in the NBA, a first for missing children, a first for missing Puerto Rican & Native American missing teens. Tara & Nancy's sister Nancy Smith, wrote to Oprah for the last several years, many times... Then they both received calls from Oprah's producer, FINALLY in October, wanting to talk to Nancy. Two days, later, the film crew & producer, were in Cleveland to interview Nancy. She did a GREAT JOB! Tara was thanked by producer & really talked alot w/ the producer... An impression was made b/c Gina was on www.oprah.com for a week following the show...NO ONE ELSE!     On Friday November 27th Dog Leg Preacher will be performing at Stewarts place in old downtown Snohomish. They will be celebrating singer Joe Kuke (24th) and drummer Jon Fosdick's (28) birthdays. It is going to be an incredible romp. Snohomish is always a fun town to play, with so many live music venues all within walking distance old town Snohomish has become a safe version of Pioneer square.     Leonard Peltier Defense Attny Michael Kuzma was on NAMAPAHH First People's Radio during the last show to talk about Peltier's recent transfer to Canaan Federal Penitentiary and the reported recent beating he received by fellow inmates a day after he arrived. Kuzma tried to get a legal visit arranged between another attny , Sheila Dugan & Peltier, but it was denied twice, according to Kuzma. Hear some breaking news about this situation.

    Update regarding Leonard Peltier-89637-132: Interview w/ LPDAttny Michael Kuzma

    Based a letter penned by Leonard Peltier's sister Betty Peltier Solano, Leonard Peltier was reportably beaten up by other inmates a day after he was moved to Canaan Federal Penitentiary on 1-12-08: "Dear LP Supporters...I am so OUTRAGED! My brother Leonard was severely beaten upon his arrival at the Canaan Federal Penitentiary. When he went into population after his transfer, some inmates assaulted him. The severity of his injuries is that he suffered numerous blows to his head and body, receiving a large bump on his head, possibly a concussion, and numerous bruises. Also, one of his fingers is swollen and discolored and he has pain in his chest and ribcage. There was blood everywhere from his injuries.... Thank you Betty Peltier-Solano Executive Coordinator Leonard Peltier Defense Offense Committee" I have also invited Betty & her niece Kari Ann, as well as Public Information officer & the Warden for Canaan Federal Penitentiary to call in- so we can all find out what is going on!     Honoring Martin Luther King Jr other African American Brothers

    Martin Luther King Jr. and other African Men Honored: During the first part of this tribute we will take an audio tour of Trinity House, a rehabilitation facility for African American Males in downtown Atlanta, GA. This facility also houses a historical chapel, where Martin Luther King, Jr’s body was brought, before the procession started. I could feel the Spirit of this amazing man. He would be so pleased if he knew that the chapel is now part of a healing & rehab center, that honors him to this day. I was lead throughout that facility by a young man named Brian. I was able to be introduced to many of the men & counselors in Trinity House. The décor offered a presence of Mother Africa. I was so impressed that the African culture was woven into the program & part of the ambience of rehabilitation. During the second half of NAMAPAHH we will share an excerpt of Martin Luther King Jr’s “I have a dream” speech. We will also share interviews with two other African American brothers that have done incredible human rights work & activism on behalf of African Americans & even Native Americans as in the case of Jay Winter Nightwolf, the originator & radio talk show host of “Nightwolf” : “The American Indian’s Truth…..the Most Dangerous Show On Radio…..” broadcasting on WPFW 89.3 FM – Pacifica Radio www.WPFW.org Damu Smith was another host of a WPFW radio program, who I met at a NNG grantmakers conference in Blaine, Wa back in 2005. We lost Damu to his battle with cancer & I feel very honored that he was able to give me an exclusive interview after his presentation about Hurricane Katrina he gave at the conference. He was a very special man & though I only spent a half hour with him, I wanted to know him for the rest of my life. We will rebroadcast this interview as well, to honor him & remember him & remind us all how much work we have to do to carry forward work he & others, like Martin Luther King Jr., started on all our behalf.

    We will play music by Native & non- Native artists...take calls & take a group sigh of relief he is going, going, almost gone! Word of caution- we will not host pro-bush calls...he brought our country blame & shame...he started WAR immediately....so many innocent lives lost...in the name of OIL! Also- this won't exactly be a family show, teenagers on up can join us...NO BAD LANGUAGE...some venting allowed, but within reason...its just a really good dose of therapy we will offer to maybe mend the broken World hoop!
