Cook Journal staff | Posted: Thursday, June 17, 2010 10:30 pm "The weather service has not determined whether tornadoes or straight-line winds caused the damage that was scattered randomly across Ziebach County on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation. Wind speeds of 60 mph were recorded 18 miles north of Dupree at an official reporting station." Louie Blue Coat ( known to some as the Morning Cow Reporter) from Pierre SD started checking on family members & friends yesterday (Wedns)in Dupree as he heard the news. He will be calling in with a report about this severe weather they re having & these devastating tornadoes that reeked havoc in parts of this region. Here is an example of his reports from yesterday when the storm came in: "Bad storms going on on the Cheyenne River rez right now, my aunt called from Dupree and said there reports of 7 tornadoes sighted, very heavy rain, lots of devastation, keep them in your prayers!!!" Please join Robin Carneen & Louie as we talk about this news & share prayers & music & information about how folks can help!
