"Award Winning Native American Recording Artist Eli Secody, has a unique melody with his Native American Hand Drum vocals and Native American Church compositions, that has been capturing hearts from his first recordings to today." Websites: www.myspace.com/elisecody www.facebook.com/elisecody www.reverbnation.com/elisecody "About: Wild mustangs ran the open deserts of northern Arizona and the healing scent of wet desert rain surrounded the childhood of Eli Secody. As a young boy, Eli’s grandmother taught and giggled at Secody’s first Native chants in the Navajo tradition and Native American Church melodies. Later, in high school Eli explored his traditional voice with Native American Church songs, in the ceremonies, walking home from school, after the basketball game, at work, and at bedtime. During college basketball, Secody’s singing carried him through the tough times of his education and sport. It was his comfort and serenity. After encouraging co-workers telling Eli to record a professional recording, Secody got his big break. Secody Records was born in the summer of 2001, and Eli Secody’s first professional recording; Shinaana harmonized Native American Church Songs, was a fresh breathe into the cool crisp summer morning. Creating his path with his prayers and determination, Secody has experienced the struggles and joys of the Native American music market. Tears of joy were celebrated when Eli won the “Best Male Artist” award at the 2005 Native American Music Awards." Secody Records owner/ founder "Best Male Artist" Nominee for the 2009 Nammys!
