Fantastic Mrs Fox Alex’s second in command, Helen Stone talks openly about industry icon - Alex Fox Multi-talented magazine editor, nail guru, children’s author, passionate charity fund-raiser and full time mum of three, Alex Fox is an inspiration to all who know her. Having moved to the Middle East four years ago to support her husband’s career move, Alex continues to be one of the most influential names in beauty journalism – especially in the nail circle. Having founded Scratch magazine in 2003 with publisher and business partner Scott Derbyshire, her passion for the industry grows day on day as she continues to trend-set and innovate, while introducing new talent to the industry and keeping firm tabs on the industry's most respected and established nail icons, products and systems too. More recently, Alex has also launched consumer nail title Gloss magazine. With the first issue gracing nail lovers in autumn/winter 2008, the bi-annual publication focuses on revealing the latest innovations, products and styles to the nail and beauty-conscious public. Passionate, devoted and full of love, Fantastic Mrs Fox is prolific in the nail industry, and continues to run the annual Nailympics nail competition. Held in London at the Olympia Beauty show, through Alex’s devotion, it’s grown into one of the world's biggest and most respected nail contests, attracting participants and on-lookers from all over the world, not to mention much international press interest too.
