Meloni B., PMP also known as Meloni Katrina Boatswain is a native New Yorker born in Brooklyn and raised in Baldwin, Long Island. As a first generation Caribbean American born into a family of real estate investors and construction company owners, she was taught the value of hard work and determination at a very early age.

Meloni studied Public Policy and Pre Med at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina while interning on school breaks at Ernst & Young, LLP in New York City, New York. While she feels this time was well spent in building her character and business acumen, she quickly realized that the world of construction was her niche and true life calling.

Meloni took a leap of faith and moved to Atlanta, Georgia. She was immediately met with great success and truly reveled in her decision to join the construction industry. She has worked as Director of Project Management and Operations for 1st Estates Management & Consulting, LLC, Quality Construction Management, and Francois & Co Inc. She has also worked as an OSHA Safety Consultant and Safety Program Manager for General Industry and Construction.

Meloni’s most notable achievements have been the building of the St. Regis Hotel & Residences in Atlanta, Georgia, the Paces 88 Restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, The Hamilton Heights Show House in Harlem, New York, and the safety program at the University of Accra, Ghana.

With over 10 years of construction project management and safety experience, Meloni has endured her share of adversity. Through it all, she embraces and understands the true struggle of The Real Women of Construction and has charged herself with the mission to educate and inspire young women to explore alternative career opportunities within the construction, engineering, and architecture fields.
