Tonight's special guest is Amanda Forest from Boise, Idaho, who says, “I grew up in a loving Christian family full of dysfunction. There was hardly any adult supervision or guidance. I became easy prey for pedophiles, who used alcohol to help them feed their sexual appetite. I was raped by my first boyfriend at the time, which really confused me for a lot of different reasons but especially because law enforcement didn’t take it seriously. These things set me up to be accepting of an extremely abusive relationship where rape, physical and emotional abuse were a regular thing. The relationship groomed me to be easily trafficked by him and others for what ended up being 7 years before I barely escaped with my life.” Amanda’s oldest daughter started to be trafficked while under Amanda’s abusers’ roof, before CPS removed her after she was missing unreported for over 30 hours. Amanda founded an organization over 3 years ago that combats Human Trafficking. In addition, she’s still fighting to see her children for over a year and a half. She states, "I am totally against abuse of power and authority. I'm wholeheartedly fighting sex trafficking in the United States. I believe we need tougher solutions for sex charges."
