Tonight's special guest is Esther Laiacona from Boston, Massachusetts, a survivor of child abuse who ran away from home at 11 years old. "I have story after story but what I think is more important," she says, "is how I am who I am today and who I have been. How did I overcome all of it? How did I not kill myself, and how do I become more and more whole each day?" Esther came from a mentally ill family, exposed to prescription drug addiction, crime, covert narcissism, violence and codependency. She was physically, verbally, mentally, emotionally neglected and abused. Esther overcame rape, child abandonment and nearly 45 years of varying degrees of abuse. She restored her soul and personal power to choose and create her dream life and reclaimed herself. Esther attributes her freedom to her faith, amazing humans along the way and 11 years of growth and awakening. Esther is 'living her dream' on Martha's Vineyard. A mother of three, entrepreneur, and social justice advocate of 20 years, she empowers and inspires individuals to create what they want and lights a path for them to begin their journey, re-writing their personal story to create the life they deserve. She founded ‘Dream Believe Become' to inspire others to aspire to a life that emanates hope and leadership, focusing on personal growth, entrepreneurship and innovation. Esther newest dream projects include: DBB Global, supporting creators, leaders and organizations, utilizing design thinking, Heart-In-Sole, a grassroots effort, to purchase shoes for children, freelance writing, completing her first solo book in 2020, public speaking, higher education and more!
