As a victim sexual abuse starting at the age of 5, she has made it her mission to spread her testimony of freedom. Dominique expects to release her book entitled “Recovery” the beginning of 2018. "Through the love of God I am free," she says. "As a sufferer of PTSD due to past trauma, I have practiced in holistic and spiritual practices that have allowed me to live a full life." Dominique is confident in her new book's purpose. "Recovery" is a proclamation of her freedom and survival of PTSD as a result of sexual child abuse, and neglect. "This book also serves to address abuse and neglect within the foster care and adoption system," Dominique says. "My goal is to offer understanding of how childhood trauma primes the brain for future mental illness. My mission is to teach a holistic and spiritual approach to surviving mental illness." She goes on, "It is also my mission to bring hope to the young and adult persons, who have fallen victim to sexual, physical and verbal trauma. I am blessed with life and full authority over my future. I now aspire to help others, who feel like life will forever be a struggle and want to give up." D ominique concludes, "I never imagined that the years of flashbacks, medication and therapy, were in preparation for a major blessing to develop in my future. I'm saved and cured from the prison of abuse. My system of healing and dedication to God is in my story."
