Tonight's special guest is LaTonsha (LT) Pridgen from Manassas, Virginia, a child sexual abuse survivor at the hands of her father and the founder of "S.O.S." - Stomp Out the Silence - with the goal of preventing child sexual abuse by increasing awareness, educating the public, and influencing public policy and legislation. She's also the author of "Treading Water" which details her journey from a victim of child sexual abuse to a warrior and advocate.  LT Pridgen is an author, advocate, philanthropist, and public speaker. Having suffered through the horrors of sexual abuse from her father the tender age of five until the age of thirteen LT's first book, "Treading Water," as a compelling memoir in which she shares in vivid detail her journey from the shame and suffering of victimization to the strength and courage of a warrior. Believing that it is her life's purpose to "BE A VOICE" for those who have yet to find their voice, LT founded Stomp Out the Silence (S.O.S.), as a non-profit organization whose mission is to prevent childhood sexual abuse by increasing public awareness and influencing public policy & legislation through seminars, training, social media campaigns, speaking engagements, demonstrations, public presence and printed material. The goal of the organization is to create a movement that reduces the number of child sexual abuse victims 'from one less to no more.' S.O.S. has recently partnered with Darkness to Light to offer child sexual abuse prevention training courses to adults parents, those who work with children, and the community at large.
