Tonight's special guest is Melody Brooke from Dallas, Texas, a child abuse survivor, actor, marriage and family therapist, author and filmmaker. Her book 'Oh, WOW this changes everything!' shifts individuals consciousness while it provides practical tools that transform how they experience their lives and relationships. She knows what she's talking about. "My childhood appeared normal," she says. "My mother was quite young when she started having children, 16 to be exact." She continues, "As a teen I started having problems .. problems with boys, with drugs and alcohol and with relationships in general. Experiencing periodic bouts of depression and binge drinking, I thought I was like everyone else." Her eventual experience of two failed marriages and a lifetime of abuse and neglect drove her to discover a new way to transform the conflicts and misunderstandings that happen between people that cause divorce, family violence, job violence… even war. Her new film 'Promises' is now available on Amazon. Other feature films include 'Blissful Lies', 'Decisions', '8 Days', and 'The Art of Killing Bigfoot'. With such a strong background in the workings of the mind and emotions, Melody has become recognized for her outstanding screenwriting. She is currently writing while developing short works and feature films for production, and maintaining a small private counseling practice. Melody writes, "My passion is compassion. Awakening people's hearts to their innate capacity for compassion is pure joy."
