SPECIAL TOPIC Night - "For Our Kids" - Deborah Maddison and Eugenea Couture, Canadian activists from British Columbia, will join Bill Murray to lead this evening's discussion about the Rights of Children and Families in North America. ~~ TONIGHT'S TOPIC: 'Cause and Effect: When Courts Become The Abusers' ~~ Tonight we'll be looking at 3 cases where Family Courts overstepped their bounds, imputing income to those who had none and imposing draconian punishments when that income couldn't materialize. They've crippling litigants with fear, stress and PTSD, and in one case pushing so far that it drove a parent to take their own life. When the actions of an all powerful entity cause someone to feel they have no other options than to take their own life we don't see that as a suicide .. this is a form of murder. It is being systemically bullied to death. We have lost too many parents to institutional abuse. We need to force the courts to change from the win/lose/punishment mentality they follow today into one that humanizes the families before them.
