SPECIAL TOPIC Night - "For Our Kids" - Deborah Maddison and Tracy Baxter, Canadian activists from British Columbia, will join Bill Murray to lead this evening's discussion about the Rights of Children and Families in North America. Tonight's TOPIC: a round table discussion with two families who will speak with us about the effects CPS abuse had on their families for three generations. We often forget the 'ripple' effect of a tragedy, and how it affects not just the people at the core, but all those around them, and often for years to come. We will be speaking with Lina Desmoulin from the Blakout Documentary 'Powerful as God', and her daughter and granddaughter, Deanna and Hillary Paul, from Ontario, whose family was destroyed from the involvement of CPS. We will also be speaking with Reverend Rosemary Dalton and her son, Michael, from Missouri, whose ongoing CPS nightmare has now spanned 17 years. "For Our Kids" show panelist Eugenea Couture, author of the incredibly influential book 'Adoption not an Option' is joining us, too. Trauma is not something that can be confined, compartmentalized, or just 'gotten over', and it is only by speaking up about these issues and demanding change that we can work preventatively from damaging generations of families. ~~ Every two weeks a new THEME will be presented in this series, with frequent special guests speaking from their own experience. ~~ Please see our web page at: www.NAASCA.org/ForOurKids or write to: naasca.forourkids@gmail.com
