Tonight's special guest is Kathleen Milliken from Seattle, Washington, a returning NAASCA family member who's dedicated to finding holistic and empowering ways to help the world heal from domestic violence and abuse as well as life's every day challenges. In 2009 Kathleen wrote a book to help empower women of Domestic Violence and abuse and to help herself heal from past wounds. The title, "Escaping the Glass Cage: A Story of Survival and Empowerment from Domestic Violence" (under the name Schmidt). From this Project Empowerment was born as she felt the pull to do more and reach more people. The mission is dedicated to finding holistic and empowering ways to help our world heal from domestic violence and abuse as well as life's every day challenges. As part of Project Empowerment, Kathleen hosts a BlogTalkRadio show dedicated to empowering lives everywhere, bringing people, stories, ideas and inspiration to help each of us make our world a better place. Kathleen's also a Women's Empowerment Coach. Her focus is to work with women of all ages to help the find their voice, passion and path in life. "You can hike with me," she suggests, "meet for coffee or talk on the phone/Skype. I also do workshops for bigger groups, all designed to help you empower your life, right now!" She goes on, “If you can find that spark, that driving force that pulls you in the direction of doing something bigger than you, listen to it. We each have a voice, we each can make a difference in the world, and it all starts with us."
