Tonight's special guest is Donna McCauley from Roseville, Michigan, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. She was abused by her father and a few of his friends from about age 5 to 10. At the age of 14 she filed charges against her father, after catching him in bed with her youngest sister, but ended up dropping the charges on the advice of her mother. Donna explains, "This was back in the 60's so you were able to drop the charges then, not like now. After dropping the charges against my father my mother started fixing me up on dates with older men who would take me out to dinner and then to motels for sex." They would pay her mother for these dates. She knew things weren't as they should be but felt honored that her mother loved her enough to fix her up with men she knew. Donna left home at age 18 and carried on the tradition of sexual exploitation for money. She gave birth to a son at the 19 and started the journey to change her life. Donna says, "I am now thankful for the journey, with all it's ups and downs. It has allowed me to start a ministry (at www.70x7outreach.org) that reaches out to women and men working the streets. I have the privilege of getting to know adults that are in the midst of a battle for their life and sanity. These are really children in adult bodies and I can relate!"
