Tonight's special guest is Audrey Clark from Manchester, England, an abuse survivor and activist who's here to share with us about Australia's "Blue Knot Day" on October 28th, and how we can all come together to make child abuse history. Sexually abused by her father from age seven, she witnessed violence towards her mother and half brother. The family was often hungry. She writes, "Last year after ignoring the sad seven year old girl within me for four decades I began writing my account in a book 'Outside Looking In' which is published this week. I also introduced my worldwide BLOG followers to 'It's OK' which encourages adult abuse survivors to come forward and tell one person whether that be a family member, a friend or a professional. Each one tell one. We aim to reduce the stigma of abuse worldwide recognizing that first step is the hardest to take." She goes on, "On the 28th October we aim to set sail and launch 'It's OK' with a Live link up with ASCA in Australia and other organizations worldwide." Audrey says, "No one deserves to suffer abuse ever. Abuse is abuse no matter what language we speak. it does not discriminate. By joining together globally our voices become a force no one can ignore."Audrey says to let listeners know she can be followed on Twitter: @outlookin1 or @auds104
