Tonight's special guest is Brenda Plumley of Utica, NY, a survivor of severe child abuse who credits her painting as being an important ingredient in her recovery. As a survivor and activist, Ms Plumley expresses her recovery through her fine art, describing her work as Survivor of Childhood Sexual Abuse art. "I donate my work to organizations advocating against Childhood Sexual Abuse, Domestic Violence." Brenda says. "I hope to get sponsors to be able to create more work and donate it to organizations all around the world." She continues, "I know how important speaking out is and how many other survivors have been helped by those who chose to speak out, just as I have been helped by hearing stories and words from other survivors. I am not as alone as I thought for a time before."  Brenda also posts regularly on a page called Above Trauma, where she writes, "I have learned that severe trauma literally has a huge physical effect on the brain." She goes on, "I can look to doctors for help or therapists, I can look to friends to help me along this path but the responsibility to heal is mine. If it was not possible then the universe wouldn't have included it in it's agenda! Wake Up to the light inside you, you can create healing inside you now! Just as you are faults and all!"
