Tonight's special guest is Ruben Rosario from Minnesota, child abuse survivor, veteran newspaper journalist and award-winning columnist with the St Paul Pioneer Press. We were so impressed by his recent autobiographical column "Today, I need to tell you about a little boy" where he discusses his experiences with surviving childhood sexual assault that we asked him to join us on the show. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and raised in New York City, Rosario covered some of the biggest and more notorious crime stories in the nation's largest city. He also wrote cover stories for national magazines, including Nuestro and Crime Beat. Rosario joined the Pioneer Press in 1991 and launched his column in 1997. He and the column have won numerous accolades and awards in recent years. A cancer survivor, Rosario is a father of two and a longtime member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. He is also treasurer for Criminal Justice Journalists, a Washington, D.C. based national organization of crime reporters and editors.
