Tonight's special guest is Lorena Noe from Maryland, child abuse survivor and author of "Daddy's Secret; Til Death Do Us Part." A true story of betrayal, incest, and healing, the narrative describes an average little girl born into a family of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. Lorena's story is about her triumphant struggle of survival and healing! Her mother was nineteen, and her father was twenty, when she was born, and shortly after her birth her father enlisted in the Marines, and her mother went to Virginia to work. Her grandmother became her mother image for four years, and gave her the stability of a strong Christian foundation. After a highly successful career as a business woman, Noe's goals now are to help children and adults who are victims of child abuse. Lorena hopes that as a survivor, she can now get the public to see the private struggle anyone can fall victim to. Ms Noe writes, "Child abuse is more than bruises and broken bones. While physical abuse might be the most visible sign, other types of abuse, such as emotional abuse or child neglect, also leave deep, long lasting scars. A history of a childhood abuse is not a life sentence. There is hope, healing, and a chance to recover the self lost in childhood."
