Tonight's special guest is Randy Ellison, from Oregon, survivor, author of "Boys Don't Tell" and president of OAASIS, Oregon Abuse Survivors in Service, based in Portland. He works as an advocate for survivors of child sexual abuse and has authored many articles on the subject. Randy works with several organizations on abuse prevention and awareness. He is a member of CAN, Child Abuse Network of Jackson County, which is a collaboration of over 40 agencies working together to impact child abuse in Southern Oregon. In 2009 Randy helped change the civil statue of limitations in Oregon on sex abuse of children to one of the most liberal in the country. In the 2011 legislative session he advocated with others to help pass the first Human Sex Trafficking laws in Oregon. Randy and the Political Action arm of OAASIS keep a constant eye on statewide legislation that affects child sex abuse and justice for survivors.
